It is an honour to have been elected as a Labour Councillor for the Bede Ward, it is both a great privilege and a great responsibility and I will relish the opportunity to serve my local community and be able to help shape the future of our great Town. I believe in our party's values of equality tolerance, community and workers rights. I will be working to put those values into action in the Bede Ward "MY WARD". I feel totally passionate about the Bede Ward as I was born in the ward and I and my family have lived in the same house for over 60 years. I went to St Mary's Primary School which is in my ward and all my other schooling was in this Borough. On leaving school I became a Quantity Surveyor and my experience in this should prove useful in the role of a Councillor. I have served on many Committees over the years which again will prove valuable in the role of being a local Councillor. I have been an active member of the Labour party for many years; I help run a local football team that is in the Bede Ward at Perth Green C.A. and I am an active supporter of the Save South Tyneside Hospital Campaign. I will make myself available to the constituents by holding regular surgeries to listen to all your concerns and try my utmost to improve our local neighbourhood; please do not hesitate to contact me.
The surgeries for the Bede Ward are held on the second Thursday of the month at Perth Green Community Association from 12.30pm to 1.30pm and the last Wednesday of the month at Bilton Hall Community Association 5.00pm to 6.00pm.
